‘The Mist’ Season 1, Episode 6 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen Next?
The people at the hospital will try to understand what the mist wants in Season 1, episode 6 of “The Mist.”
According to the synopsis for the episode, Kevin (Morgan Spector) becomes an involuntary test subject on what drives the mist. While it’s puzzling how the people at the hospital will exactly get the answers to their questions about the mist, picking Kevin as their test subject is less of a mystery. For one, Kevin has been out in the mist for a relatively long period of time, so he’s probably one of the few people at the hospital who knows what to expect from the mysterious fog.
Also, in Season 1, episode 5, Kevin bravely ran through the mist-filled east wing of the hospital to take out a piece of rebar impaled in his older brother, Mike (Peter Murnik). The operation was successful but Mike didn’t make it back to the mist-free area of the hospital after Kevin was forced to shoot him to death after dozens of leeches fell onto his brother from the ceiling. Despite Mike’s unfortunate fate, Kevin returned to the mist-free area of the hospital unharmed. The ill-fated incident may probably convince people at the hospital that Kevin is invincible in the mist, and that’s possibly the reason they have chosen him as the test subject.

Elsewhere in next week’s episode, Nathalie (Frances Conroy) has a violent encounter with Link (Dylan Authors) after she discusses her theories about the Black Spring at the church. Link is one of the church parishioners who have been cautious of Nathalie since she declared that she’s seen god in Season 1, episode 3.
In Season 1, episode 4, Link pushed Father Romanov (Dan Butler) to “reach” Natalie. “Father, I beg you. The Bible warns about false prophets,” Link told Father Romanov. “Nathalie is a worshipping a false god in your church.”
When the priest said that he can’t reach Nathalie, Link reminded him of how he reached him before. “You knew exactly what you were doing [at the time you reached me],” Link told Father Romanov. “I’m sure to an insider it would’ve looked cruel but you reached me.”
“The Mist” Season 1, episode 6, titled “The Devil You Know,” airs on Thursday, July 27 at 10 p.m. EDT on Spike.
