‘The Mist’ Season 1, Episode 9 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen Next?
Adrian (Russell Posner) will be reunited with Alex (Gus Birney) in Season 1, episode 9 of “The Mist.”
According to the synopsis for next week’s episode of the Spike series, Adrian arrives at the mall and delivers the news of Kevin’s (Morgan Spector) death to his daughter, Alex, and his wife, Eve (Alyssa Sutherland).
But as viewers know, Kevin isn’t really dead yet. In Season 1, episode 8, Adrian admitted to Kevin that he was the one who raped Alex. Shocked by Adrian’s confession, Kevin collared Adrian and pushed him against a wall. It was clear that Kevin wanted to hurt him more, but when Adrian reminded Kevin of his promise that Adrian will always be part of their family no matter what, Kevin let go of Adrian, giving the teenager the chance to grab his shotgun.
Adrian pointed the gun at Kevin, threatening to shoot him. But when Kevin tried to get the gun from Adrian, the latter hit him with the stock of the firearm, knocking him out. Adrian then ran back to the car and lied about Kevin being dead. Adrian told Mia (Danica Curcic), Jonah (Okezie Morro) and Vic (Erik Knudsen) that Adrian’s dad killed Kevin.
Also in next week’s episode, survivors from Gus’ (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) camp at the mall start to turn on Alex and Eve after Gus blamed the death of Shelley (Alexandra Ordolis) on Alex.
Last episode, Gus hit Shelley in the head with a candle holder after she had decided to tell the people at the mall that Gus has been secretly keeping food in his office. Shelley fell to the ground and Gus strangled her to make sure that she wouldn’t survive.
When people at the mall arrived at the murder scene, Kyle (Romaine Waite) accused Gus of killing Shelley. Kyle repeatedly punched Gus in the face and strangled him until the mall manager thought of a way to get away from the crime he committed. “It was Alex,” Gus claimed. “I saw her running away from here.”
“The Mist” Season 1, episode 9, titled “The Waking Dream,” airs on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 10 p.m. EDT on Spike.
