With ‘Mob Wives’ Star Big Ang On Her Deathbed; Neil Murphy Rushes To The Hospital: Report

“Mob Wives” star Big Ang has taken a turn for the worse and is on her deathbed, Radar Online wrote in an exclusive report Wednesday. The reality star’s estranged husband, Neil Murphy, rushed to the hospital to be by her side, along with her family and friends.

Murphy, 35, confirmed Big Ang’s hospitalization to the publication. “It’s serious,” an insider told Radar Online about the star, whose real name is Angela Raiola. “She isn’t doing well right now.” The source added: “They aren’t sure she is going to make it.”

Big Ang, 55, told celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz a day earlier she ended things with Murphy because he didn’t change in time. “Now, it’s too late. I would rather be by myself. I would rather be alone,” she said on the talk show. “I felt like he never stepped up to the plate, so I was done with it.”

After beating stage 2 throat cancer twice, the reality star discovered the cancer had spread. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and brain cancer in November. Big Ang shared her fears about dying Tuesday, saying she felt depressed. “Sometimes I feel like I’m going to be fine and sometimes I just don’t think I am,” the native of New York City’s Staten Island said. “I can’t make sense of this. One day I was perfectly fine, thinking I had strep throat, then I have stage 2 throat cancer.”

“I thought that was it, I was done,” she said about her cancer diagnosis. “I said, ‘Oh, cancer. I’m gonna die. Everyone dies from cancer.’ You know, you hear ‘cancer’ and right away you think you’re going to die.”

The star thanked her 309,000 Twitter followers for their unwavering support last week. “Your messages aren’t going unnoticed, just understand it’s all very overwhelming. I truly love you all,” she said.

Big Ang’s cancer battle is being documented on the final season of “Mob Wives,” which airs on VH1 Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
