'Money': Blackpink Member Lisa's Single Sets New Record On Spotify With 200 Million Streams
Lisa Manobal continues to make waves as the most successful member of the K-pop supergroup Blackpink after her solo single "Money" reached 200 million streams on Spotify over the weekend.
The song has been played more than 200 million times on the streaming service since its Sept. 10 release, YG Entertainment said as per Soompi.
The upbeat hip-hop track reached the milestone just 65 days after its launch, making it the fastest song by a female K-pop artist to achieve 200 million streams on Spotify.
Meanwhile, Blackpink's "How You Like That" is the fastest song by a K-pop girl group to reach 200 million streams in 87 days in 2020.
"Money" is also the fastest song by a K-pop solo artist to reach 100 million streams on Spotify. The title was previously held by "On the Ground" by Lisa's bandmate, Rosé, who released her track in March.
"Money," the B-side track of the "Lalisa" album, is also riding high on Spotify's global chart and has taken the fifth spot on the list of the most played tracks on the streaming platform. The single has also remained on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks.
Meanwhile, "SG," Lisa's collab hit with DJ Snake, Puerto Rican rapper Ozuna and Megan Thee Stallion, took the No. 1 spot on iTunes in 41 countries and entered the top 10 of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs Charts.
Lisa is currently in the U.S. to promote "Lalisa."
Last week, she partied with DJ Snake at Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas, as seen in a tweet by the French record producer and DJ. In the clip, he can be heard saying, "It's party time!" The camera then pans to Lisa who touches her chin and says, "I'm Ready!" She winks an eye and flashes the peace sign afterward.
In another clip posted on Twitter, Lisa can be seen dancing as "SG" plays in the background.
Meanwhile, a fan tweeted DJ Snake's Instagram Story showing him jamming to "Money" as it plays inside the club.
Lisa also guested on LA's 102.7 KISS FM last week. She even met a fan at that time.
"So happy to meet you! @lalalalisa_m," the fan captioned a carousel of photos on Instagram. In the snaps, she can be seen posing with Lisa as the latter hugs her.
