Moto X (2016) Line Still Active; Interesting Specs Like 4.6-Inch Screen, Octa-core chip, 16 MP Camera And More Appear On GFXBench
When Lenovo had announced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones earlier this month, it hinted that the Moto X lineup. An alleged Moto X (2016) with model number XT1662 has appeared on GFXBench benchmarking website.
According to Times News UK, the GFXBench test of the XT1662 smartphone features a 4.6-inch display that offers a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek MT6755 chipset that includes an octa-core Helio 10 processor that clocks at 2.1 GHz along with Mali-T860 graphics. The chipset is supported by 3 GB of RAM.
The inbuilt storage of the alleged Moto X (2016) is 32 GB. It will carry support for microSD external storage. The rear camera of the smartphone is of 16-megapixel. The front side of the handset features a selfie shooter of 8-megapixel. It will come preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The GFXBench listing does not include the battery information of the device.
In the past year, Moto X smartphones have always featured flagship specifications, but the Moto X (2016) XT1662 smartphone seems to carry midrange specs. All the Moto X series smartphones in the past feature displays that are larger than 5 inches and have featured Snapdragon chipsets.
Since the Moto Z has arrived with flagship specs, the Moto X (2016) may be apparently transitioned into a midrange device. More information of the smartphone is likely to get unveiled when it receives certification from TENAA certification body from China.
Lenovo has already unveiled Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play smartphones. It is likely to unveil Moto E (2016) in the near future. Like other Moto series smartphones, the low budget Moto E (2016) is speculated to include a fingerprint reader.
Lenovo is also expected to unleash Moto Z Play in the near future. It is expected to carry a model number of XT1635-01 and it will be powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC that features a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor.
