Naomi Campbell Wants Luo Zilin Fired Everywhere, Calls On Fashion Industry To End Young Model's Career
Naomi Campbell is not over protégé Luo Zilin’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend Vladimir Doronin just yet. The supermodel is reportedly trying to get the 25-year-old model fired by her Chinese modeling agent.
Zilin was on Campbell’s modeling team, “Team Naomi,” during "The Face" and ended up a runner-up on the show earlier this year. Campbell closely mentored the model, helping her reach the final stages of the competition.
Campbell, 42, and Doronin, 50, recently split, and the billionaire moved on to Zilin.
Shortly after, the young aspiring model was fired from her management company. Neal Hamil, president of MIX Model Management NYC, blamed Zilin’s lack of work ethic for her getting canned, but it is suspected that Campbell had some input as well.
“Naomi has been calling colleagues in the industry to try and stop Luo’s career. She is trying to take this woman out for no reason other than dating her ex-boyfriend,” a source tells New York Post’s Page Six.
Luo, who is a former Miss Universe China, was fired by her management firm, and her Chinese agent has been asked to drop her. Naomi is trying to wreck her career. She has a lot of power in the modeling world,” the insider continued.
It was first reported in the beginning of May that the British supermodel and Doronin were taking a break after being together for five years. Campbell has since been busy with her hit reality show and photo shoots with elite publications such as Vogue.
