Naomi Campbell's 9-Month-Old Daughter Makes Cover Page Debut On British Vogue
Naomi Campbell and her nine-month-old daughter have posed for British Vogue, marking the baby's cover page debut.
On the magazine's cover, the 51-year-old supermodel can be seen wearing a two-piece ensemble while holding her daughter in her arms. Though the baby's face is turned away from the camera, it is evident that the little girl is naturally gifted with curls.
At the bottom of the cover, Campbell is described as a "mother figure." "I always knew one day I would have a child," it quotes her as saying.
The stunning cover quickly went viral on social media.
Campbell did not share much about her daughter in the magazine interview but she clarified that the child was not adopted.
"She wasn't adopted – she's my child," the former "Empire" star said, adding, "I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her but she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It's the best thing I've ever done."
"I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it’s the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I'm lucky to have her and I know that," she said further.
Apparently, the supermodel is saving the rest of her stories about motherhood for a book she is yet to write. She has also decided not to publicly announce her child's name in the meantime. What matters is the new mom is really enjoying her time with her daughter.
"I'm like a kid again. I'm reliving nursery rhymes, playing and discovering how many great new toys there are out there in the world! And dolls! Things I couldn’t even dream of," she told British Vogue.
It was in May 2021 when Campbell announced the arrival of her baby. In her now-deleted Instagram post, which showed the newborn's tiny feet, the supermodel wrote, "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother."
Fans and fellow celebs took the opportunity to congratulate Campbell, who previously expressed her enthusiasm for motherhood.
"I think about having children all the time. But now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want," she told Evening Standard in a 2017 interview.
