“Narcos” will be returning with Season 3 in less than a month.

Netflix released a new trailer for “Narcos” Season 3 showing explosive and action-packed scenes. The clip features a flashback to Pablo Escobar’s (Wagner Moura) death and previews the aftermath of the kingpin’s demise. More deaths and brutal killings are in store for viewers in the upcoming season as the Cali cartel takes over the business that Pablo once dominated.

Aside from the deaths, the upcoming season will also focus on the boom of the cocaine market. In the clip shared on the Netflix series’ official Twitter account, Cali cartel will run their drug business like a Fortune 500 company and will go to any lengths for the sake of money and power, including bribing government officials to keep their illegal and violent actions out of the papers.

“Narcos” executive producer Eric Newman recently dished on the upcoming season, specifically the rise of the Cali cartel. “The Cali cartel aided in the dismantling of the Medellin cartel and benefited by going from being No. 2 to No. 1,” the EP told The Hollywood Reporter of Season 3. “They were then taken apart over a period of two years and another cartel rose up in their place. So there’s a revolving-door aspect to narco kingpins and we’ll certainly exploit that.”

Despite the introduction of a new major player, a number of fans are still not over Pablo’s death. In fact, some commented on the new trailer that they would prefer Pablo to continue being the focus of the show. “Don’t know why they only had Pablo for 2 seasons, could’ve made this a master piece and lasted 4-5 easy,” one fan wrote. “Not excited cause Pablo not on there no more,” another commented.

While others are stuck on Pablo’s death in the series, some viewers are starting to move on. “To everyone saying, ‘the show won’t be as good without Pablo’, I urge you to read up and watch documentaries about the Cali Cartel,” another fan commented.

Newman previously addressed this issue, emphasizing that the show is more than just about Pablo. “From the beginning when we decided to call the show ‘Narcos’ and not Pablo Escobar, I had always had in mind to tell the continuing story of cocaine,” he told THR. “Jose [Padilha], Doug [Miro], Carlo [Bernard] and I wanted to tell a story about the drug war and never just about one person or organization. We had always planned on continuing on.”
