‘Nashville’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 7 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Hurricane’? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
Working with your significant other isn’t always easy. In “Nashville” Season 5, episode 7, Rayna and Deacon will have trouble writing about their relationship. Meanwhile, Scarlett and Gunnar will have a bit of a role reversal.
“Rayna and Deacon struggle to write their album,” the synopsis for the CMT drama teases. The two are revisiting the past, something Deacon (Charles Esten) was always wary about. It will bring up old fights and hurt feelings.
“I want to be able to touch our pain without having to hurt each other,” Rayna (Connie Britton) tells Deacon in the trailer.
“Yeah, well clearly, we can’t,” Deacon says. Will Rayna push him too far?
Elsewhere, the trailer reveals that Daphne (Maisy Stella) is well aware of her mother and stepfather’s fighting. “It looks hard. Working together, being married,” she tells the filmmaker. Watch the episode 7 promo video below:
Rayna and Deacon don’t have an album yet, but they will have a song. They’ll sing a track called “My Favorite Hurricane.” Jillian Edwards and Jake Etheridge wrote the tune, which inspired episode 7’s title, “Hurricane.”
The married couple still has other responsibilities, though. A filmmaker will be trying to document their writing experience to promote the album, and their daughters will cause trouble. “Maddie and Daphne create a disturbance at home,” the summary says. Expect Maddie’s (Lennon Stella) new boyfriend Clay (Joseph David Jones) to be part of the problem.
Meanwhile, Maddie and Daphne’s cousin Scarlett (Clare Bowen) has her own boy problems. After seeing Damien’s (Christian Coulson) work on the music video, Scarlett doesn’t hate him anymore. “Damien apologizes to Scarlett. Scarlett and Gunnar question their relationship,” the synopsis reveals.
It’s easy to see why Gunnar would question his girlfriend’s loyalty. The trailer for episode 7 above reveals that Damien will kiss Scarlett.
“Nashville” Season 5, episode 7 airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
