‘Nashville’ Season 5 Spoilers: Midseason Finale Synopsis, Promo Video And Photos Revealed
“Nashville” Season 5 is coming to a temporary close. The midseason finale means the CMT drama is heading into hiatus until summer, but they’re not leaving without one more dramatic episode. Maddie and Deacon have very different ways of handling the aftermath of Rayna’s death in Season 5, episode 11. Check out spoilers below:
“Juliette helps Maddie navigate the wave of attention she receives after her performance at the CMT Music Awards,” the “Nashville” synopsis reveals. Maddie (Lennon Stella) will head out on a press tour — which is where guest star Trevor Noah comes in — and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) decides to play stage mom. However, working so soon after her mother Rayna (Connie Britton) died might not be the best plan.
While Maddie throws herself into her new career, Deacon (Charles Esten) tries to avoid his. He and Rayna were, of course, working on their duet album when she died. In order to save Highway 65, the label wants to release Rayna’s new music. “Zach demands the masters from Rayna and Deacon’s unfinished album,” the synopsis teases.
The promo video reveals that Deacon will not take kindly to Zach’s (Cameron Scoggins) firm request. “You know what these songs are about? Undying love,” a distraught Deacon tells the label heads. Watch the promo video for the “Nashville” midseason finale below:
Photos below make it look like Deacon will eventually find the strength to return to the project Rayna left behind. He’ll need a little help from his loved ones though. Most of the cast will be there for him.
Elsewhere, expect the midseason finale to end on a cliffhanger. We cannot reveal how the episode ends, but with no real hints, it will be tough for viewers to see this plot twist coming.
“Nashville” Season 5, episode 11 airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
