Netizens are recounting the horrible experiences of Megan Fox throughout her Hollywood career amid the nation’s cry against inequality and injustice.
A tweet from a netizen claimed that “Transformers” director Michael Bay “sexualized” Fox, who was only 15 at that time when he had her danced in a bikini and washed his car as part of her audition for the movie.
The tweet further stated that when Fox spoke out, the media labeled her “ungrateful.” The statement in the tweet also alleged that Bay and the executive producer of the film, Steven Spielberg, destroyed her career.
The netizen, who goes by the Twitter name of Ephraim Winslow, uploaded the tweet on Sunday (June 21). The post has been retweeted more than 90,000 times and gained more than 387,000 likes since its upload.
Other netizens got confused about the tweet and confirmed whether Fox was 15 when she auditioned for “Transformers.”
Winslow immediately clarified the tweet, saying that Fox claimed she was 15 when she danced in a bikini for “Bad Boys 2,” which was also directed by Bay.
The said netizen also stated that Fox was a victim of an industry that took advantage of her. It was reiterated in the statement that Fox stood up for herself but the public ostracized her.
Other netizens also defended and showed their support for Fox through these tweets.
if anyone wants to call Megan Fox a bad actress by referencing a Michael Bay or a Steven Spielberg movie, reference the fact that toxic environments do not breed creative breakthroughs

I hated Megan Fox so much as a teen bc she was so over-sexualized in that movie but as an adult I realize

A) it wasn’t her fault
B) I had some internalized misogyny to deal with that made me jealous of her.
I love her now. And I hate what Hollywood did to her.
