‘Next Stop, Christmas’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel’s merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “Next Stop, Christmas.” The film, starring Lyndsy Fonseca and Chandler Massey, premieres Saturday night.
The film will be a special treat for Hallmark fans, as it is bringing new talent to the network with its stars. While some may recognize Chandler Massey for his long-running gig as Will Horton on “Days of Our Lives,” this will be their first time seeing him in action in a Hallmark movie.
As for Fonseca, she is also a Hallmark newbie, though fans may recognize her from any number of projects. Past television credits include Colleen Carlton on “The Young and the Restless,” Alex on “Nikita,” The Daughter on “How I Met Your Mother,” Angie Martinelli on “Agent Carter” and Laura Turner on “Turner and Hooch.” Movie roles have also included Jenny in “Hot Tub Time Machine” and Katie in “Kick-Ass” and “Kick-Ass 2.”
Christopher Llyod and Lea Thompson (“Back To the Future”) also star.
So what will happen in this film? Let’s find out.
“Angie is a successful surgeon in New York City but finds herself wondering what her life would be like if she had married her former boyfriend Tyler (Eric Freeman), who is now a successful sportscaster,” a synopsis reads. “Angie takes the train home to spend the holiday with her family but when she arrives discovers it’s inexplicably 10 years earlier.”
Naturally, the time travel unravels and disorients Angie, but she quickly learns through the train conductor (Lloyd) that she will need to navigate this Christmas from the past as she tries to also go back to the present day, meaning she may need to face the very situations that prompted all of her choices.
“As she works to figure out how to get back to the future, Angie has the chance to reconnect with her family; she even teams up with her sister Kristen (Paige Herschell) to help her parents, Evelyn (Thompson) and Marty (Matt Walton), rekindle their romance,” the synopsis reads. “Along the way, Angie gains a new perspective and discovers what—and who—is truly important to her.”
“Next Stop, Christmas” airs Saturday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
