Nicki Minaj has postponed her North American tour, which was supposed to begin September and end in May 2019, to “reevaluate elements of production” on the tour. Rapper Future who was all set to perform with Minaj is no longer part of the North American leg of the tour due to “scheduling conflicts.”

According to a statement released by Live Nation, the refunds for the previously scheduled North American tour dates will be available at the point of purchase. The new Nicki Minaj on-sale details also will be unveiled shortly.

“Following her unforgettable VMA performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour. The outing will now kick off in Europe this coming February as planned. Nicki has decided to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve,” Live Nation announced in a statement late Tuesday.

However, this announcement came shortly after Page Six reported the tour was in danger of being cancelled due to disappointing ticket sales.

The website quoted a source saying, “Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.”

However, the European leg of the tour will carry on as scheduled. It will begin Feb. 21 at Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany, and end March 28 in Switzerland.

The last couple of weeks were quite eventful for Minaj. Her fourth album "Queen" released Aug. 10, which she had expected would reach the No. 1 spot on the charts just like her previous three. However, the album made it to No. 2 behind Travis Scott’s “Astroworld.”

On her Beats 1 show, “Queen Radio,” the rapper accused Scott and Kylie Jenner of using their baby to boost his album sales. She also accused them of using a well-known industry cheat of bundling free albums with cheap merchandise to increase the sales.

“What we’re not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling f----- sweaters telling you he sold half a million albums, because he f----- didn’t. You got your f------ homeboy talking for you and you got your girlfriend selling tour passes. Stop it,” she fumed at Scott.

“When [Travis] comes along and sells a tour pass that has nothing to do with his f------ music and says he’s sold more than Kanye West— no you f----- didn’t, keep it the f--- real. I know I’m that b----, I know I’m Number 1,” she continued.

Reacting to Minaj’s comments, an insider told Page Six, “Nicki has gone off the rails. She can’t take it that she sold less records than Cardi B in her first week; she can’t take it that Travis beat her to No. 1. Her ticket sales for her tour are in the toilet, and it’s making her even more crazy.”
