Nikki Bella Pays Special Tribute To John Cena Ahead Of Comic Con Appearance

Although Nikki Bella may be away from her fiancé John Cena at the moment that doesn’t mean he isn’t always on her mind. On Thursday, the “Total Divas” star shared a photo on her Instagram Story letting others know that she always carries the WWE star with her wherever she goes.

Bella shared a photo of herself wearing all black while holding a special accessory before heading over to Comic Con to sit on the WWE and Mattel’s joint panel. “Rocking my man’s dog tags,” the wrestler wrote over the photo of herself clutching the chain.

Cena has not been shy about expressing his admiration for the armed forces. In 2011, he explained the inspiration behind his salute before he enters the ring to WWE.com. “When it came my time to slowly redefine who I was from wrestler to hip hop thug, to the next step in my career, I basically took the ideologies of discipline from the Armed Forces,” he said.

“I took honor, code and country and came up with hustle, loyalty and respect. I think exactly like they do,” he added. While it is clear that Cena still upholds his dedication to honor those who serve the U.S., it looks like the star may be wrapping up his ring side tributes seeing as he believes his “days are numbered” with the WWE.

“I just turned 40 in April and we have so many young and talented performers, I don’t know how many years I have left,” he told Complex in a recent interview.

The star, who also dabbles in acting, has been taking on other projects outside the world of wrestling. “When you’re a fan, you stay very close to all the programming and all the broadcasts, there’s no dipping around the fact that I haven’t been on the program in a while because I’ve been doing other stuff,” he said.

“I haven’t danced around it, I explained that the reason I cannot be on the program is because the movie folks, their insurance doesn’t allow you to. That’s a dealbreaker, it’s not negotiable,” Cena stated.

Although fans may be sad to see the wrestler go, he is anxious to start married life with Bella. However, the start date for that next chapter in life is up in the air. “The speed of everything is directly dependent on Nicole,” he told the magazine.

“I’m one of those guys where it took me five years to get down on one knee, so I’m ready to go, but I also know there’s a lot into planning that day and since it’s taken so long, it should be absolutely everything that both of us want.”

Although he is eager to tie the knot, Cena doesn’t want to rush his bride. “We are both super, super busy and it just has to be right. I really, really want to say I hope it’s gonna be next year sometime, but also I want to do it when it’s right for Nicole and she can get the most out of it as well,” he explained.

Bella has previously admitted to dragging her feet when it comes to wedding planning but when she and Cena finally get married, it will most likely be a day the couple won’t forget.
