KEY POINTS

  • Nokia Pureview 2.0 is expected to come out this year
  • Nokia mobile phone lineup to be revealed at Mobile World Congress
  • A Nokia foldable phone could come out later this 2020

HMD Global has had its share of difficulties but it appears they are not about to stop trying to offer consumers a great device. The latest word is that the company plans to launch the Nokia 9.2 Pureview that will have a Snapdragon 865 inside. This means that they will be ditching plans for a Nokia 9.1 launch because the Snapdragon 855+ would be already dated by the time of launch.

Rumors are swirling that there will be four new Nokia models coming out this year. Some of them may be seen at the Mobile World Congress next month. Among the models expected to be revealed include the Nokia 8.2 5G, Nokia 5.2 and Nokia 1.3.

Curiously, a leak from a certain user named Nokiamob suggested another device that could be different from the handsets. HMD Global is reportedly working on its first foldable phone and it could be out later this year or in 2021. The one who leaked the information seems to be a new one although they claim to have a reliable inside source.

Coming out with a Nokia foldable phone is interesting with the Motorola Razr and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip being the first ones to come out in the market. But the real question is how reliable will this innovative mobile phone be considering they have already flooded the market with plenty of smartphone variants, Slashgear reported. Either way, it would be best to take this with a grain of salt for now until more leaks come out in the open.

As for the actual mobile phones, Nokia will leak, all eyes are on the Nokia 9.2 Pureview. Aside from a Snapdragon 865, the upcoming device will reportedly come out with no headphone jack and a bezel-less display similar to the latest mid-range phones. It will reportedly come with a 32/48 MP front-facing camera. There is no word on official pricing, although NokiaPowerUser claims it may fall in the price range of the Nokia 8.

As far as the possible rear camera, Nokia reportedly plans to ditch the fancy camera sensors of the Nokia 9 Pureview. Instead, a conventional Toshiba lens will be used. All these rumored features are grand but it would best to wait for something official from HMD Global.
