  • Odette Annable revealed Tuesday that she suffered a pregnancy loss, following two other miscarriages
  • Annable said June 8 would have been her due date

Odette Annable has shared that she and her husband Dave Annable recently suffered their third pregnancy loss.

The "Supergirl" actress, 36, took to Instagram Tuesday to open up about her pregnancy loss in a lengthy note, sharing black and white photos of her holding her baby bump.

Annable first made it clear that the post was "not a pregnancy announcement," before detailing how happy she and Dave, with whom she shares 5-year-old daughter Charlie Mae, had been when they found out they were expecting again.

"The one thing that was certain was how Dave and I both felt when I found out I was pregnant. We were elated," Annable wrote. "After having two miscarriages after Charlie and after our personal journey as a couple, we finally felt like we were in the right place and our gift was this baby in my belly."

The actress went on to reveal that she had been 15 weeks pregnant when the photos she shared were taken in December last year and that she was posting her note on what would have been her due date, June 8.

"There was another plan and our baby is no longer with us," Annable continued.

The "Walker" actress explained that she wanted to share the news with her followers because "what you see on a social media page isn't always what's going on in real life." She also said that her social media pages are mostly "highlight reels," in which she focuses on the positive.

"But this is real and this is part of life. The really hard stuff that you never think or want to come your way," Annable wrote. "I miss feeling this sweet baby grow but I also know that it was a gift carrying our baby and a privilege for even the short time we spent together."

"It never felt right to not share or celebrate this moment in our life, I just needed the space to do it. I have found that there are always silver linings in the hard things if you look closely. And they are without doubt my husband and my daughter," she continued.

According to Annable, the experience gave her "a new appreciation" for her husband, whom she described as her "rock." And despite the tragedies she has experienced, the actress said they made her "marvel at what a miracle Charlie is."

"What a miracle and a blessing it is to have a healthy child. I am so grateful for my family. We love you always and forever little angel," Annable concluded her post.

Annable's fellow celebrities and fans flooded her comments section with supportive messages.

"I love you and your family so much," Jamie-Lynn Sigler wrote. "You make me better just by being around you. Your angel will always be with you [red heart emoji]. I’m so proud of you for sharing this."

"Love you Dave [red heart emoji] Charlie [red heart emoji] and your precious angel shining bright on the other side," JoAnna Garcia Swisher commented.

Annable tied the knot with Dave in 2010, but they separated after nine years of marriage in October 2019. The couple got back together in August 2020, People reported.

"2020. It ain’t all bad news. #TheAnnables," Dave wrote on Instagram at the time, along with a photo of him and the actress locking lips by the beach.
