'One Piece' 1043 Raw Scans: Luffy Has Already Defeated Kaido

"One Piece" 1043 is just a few days away from its official release. While fans are still debating on the Joy Boy-Luffy connection and despite the spoilers declaring Kaido as the victor in his mega-fight against the Straw Hats' captain, it appears Luffy has already defeated the Yonko without the former even realizing it.

The raw scans of "One Piece" 1043 are now available online, thanks to the insiders within the community. Apparently, the chapter will feature Momo and Zunesha's conversation, which will somehow shed more light on the identity of the mysterious character Joy Boy.

The upcoming manga installment will reportedly feature Kaido getting down from the roof of the Skull Dome, poised to fight anyone who will cross his path. The emperor of the sea knocked Luffy out, stomped the CP-0 and is probably still mad because someone interrupted the fight he was enjoying.

But though the manga has declared Kaido as the winner, many fans believe Luffy already crushed the Yonko's dreams and defeated him long before their battle ended.

Kaido's dream involves amassing powerful military strength to challenge the World Government and obtain the legendary treasure One Piece. But right now, his army is scattered. The All-Stars (Calamities), the Tobi Roppo and his top officials were all beaten by Luffy's crew. His alliance with the Big Mom Pirates, which the emperor thought was crucial to his dreams, was terminated by some captains of the Worst Generation.

Aside from that, the weapons and explosives he kept in Onigashima were destroyed. Most of the smile users who used to be his allies eventually changed sides and are now fighting for the Mink-Pirate-Ninja-Samurai alliance.

Moreover, Luffy freed prisoners at the Udon camp, cutting Kaido's labor force, which was essential in his weapons manufacturing factories. The Straw Hats also rescued Kinemon and Momonosuke and brought the rightful heir back to the closed country.

The return of the Akazaya Nine and Oden's son in Wano inspired the almost desperate Wano residents to revolt against Orochi and Kaido, paving the way to the War in Onigashima.

Simply put, long before Luffy was knocked out, and even if Kaido is the last man standing in this fight, Luffy already shattered his dreams.

Fans have a lot to look forward to in "One Piece" 1043, including the supposed awakening of Luffy and his connection to the previously teased character Sun God Nika. The upcoming manga installment is titled "Let's Die Together" and is slated for release Sunday.
