OnePlus Mini Leaked Renders Have Surfaced, Sports Better Design Than OnePlus 2
In August, the co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei had said through an interview to USA Today that the company is working on a new handset that would be released by the end of 2015. Now, fresh renders of a forthcoming OnePlus handset has surfaced, referring to it with different names like OnePlus Mini, OnePlus X and OnePlus 3.
Mobile-dad.com, a Chinese website, has revealed two images of the alleged OnePlus Mini handset. One image reveals the front panel of the device whereas the second image reveals the backside. The rear side of the alleged OnePlus Mini features dual camera setup and below it there is dual LED flash.
There is a fingerprint sensor too that is placed below the camera flash. The OnePlus 2 that was released in July this year features a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the Home button. The new device seems to be sporting a full-plastic body.
The bottom edge of the OnePlus Mini has a pair of speaker grills with a charging port in the middle. The handset appears to be very slim and it seems to be sporting a different design compared to the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 smartphones.
Pei had also mentioned that the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will be coming with a better design than the OnePlus 2. He had further expressed that the next OnePlus smartphone will be targeted towards a different type of audience. Since the handset is expected to sport a smaller form factor, it may feature midrange specifications, IBN Live reported.
In December 2014, a purported OnePlus Mini handset was reportedly spotted along with some of its specs. The handset was rumored to feature a display of 5 inches and Snapdragon 615 chipset. According to previous rumors, the OnePlus Mini will be coming with a cheaper price tag of about $249, Phone Arena reported.
