“Orange Is the New Black” Season 4 Spoilers

Fans of “Orange Is the New Black” are getting a peek inside Litchfield Penitentiary before the prison opens its door this summer. And according to the newly released Season 4 trailer, viewers can expect just as much drama as comedy in the new installment of the Netflix series.

Although audiences will witness some hilarious moments with their favorite jailbirds in the sizzling, summer series, they can also anticipate some dark scenes to be woven throughout the Season 4 storyline. Check out everything we learned from the action-packed “OITNB” trailer below:

Taystee gets a new job — While Taystee’s (Danielle Brooks) fellow inmates mop prison floors, she’ll be taking on a less messy and more administrative role within Litchfield as Caputo’s (Nick Sandow) newest receptionist. And according to Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore), she wants to use Taystee’s new, powerful gig to her advantage.

New blood — Litchfield is about to get stuffed with over 100 new inmates, which Aleida (Elizabeth Rodriguez) refers to as “sardine time.” And with the arrival of new prisoners comes new problems.

“Everybody getting on each other’s nerves, s--- gonna get stirred,” Poussey (Samira Wiley) says, hinting at new feuds on the way.

Drama for Piper — One of those new feuds will involve Piper (Taylor Schilling), who we saw about to get her hand smashed by what looked like a pan in the Season 4 promo photos. Viewers get more insight on Piper’s impending fight when Maria (Jessica Pimentel) threatens her in the trailer.

“I am going to bury you,” she warns Piper. And according the blond-haired protagonist, she’s starting to feel unsafe within the four walls of Litchfield.

New Correctional Officers — If audiences thought Pornstache (Pablo Schreiber) was a handful, just wait till they meet Litchfield’s newest C.O., the buff and bearded Desi (Brad William Henke). With his tough look, harsh manner and loud air horn, the no-nonsense correctional officer intimidates not only the prisoners but also the other C.O.’s, who admit to being “kind of scared” of Desi in the promo video.

Red (Kate Mulgrew), however, seems to be the only match for Desi as she stares him down in the trailer. But will this new guard break her? Red is seen breaking down in a clip, promising an unknown person that she will “find them.”

Romance — Amid the drama, there will be a new romance blooming within the prison — a romance between Poussey and Soso (Kimiko Glenn). Or, at least, that’s what it looks like in the trailer as the two share a sensual slow dance.

Trouble for Crazy Eyes — Several of the Litchfield inmates found themselves recuperating in a hospital following an attack. And it looks like Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) will be the latest prisoner to feel the wrath of another inmate. The convict is seen in severe pain — and with a bandage on her head — when the trailer cuts to a scene of her in a hospital bed.
