‘The Originals’ Season 4 Spoilers: Will Hayley And Elijah Be Together In CW Series?
When Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) was busy trying to find a cure for the Mikaelsons, most “The Originals” viewers were excited to see her reunite with her one true love, Elijah (Daniel Gillies). A season 4 episode finally rewarded Haylijah fans by having them declare their love for each other before spending some time in between the sheets.
Does this mean Hayley and Elijah might finally be together in “The Originals”?
The show’s executive producer, Michael Narducci, shared the future of this beloved couple to Entertainment Weekly. “That’s a big step forward for them,” he said, referring to the scene in which they both said “I love you” to each other. “There is an intense -- not just attraction -- but an intense loyalty and intense romance [with] very strong feelings between these two characters.”

While this is certainly good news, nothing in The CW series lasts forever. Their love is going to be tested this season. Narducci explained, “What’s going to happen next is what happens in life: You don’t just get to rest and enjoy a perfect tranquil life where everything you experience is joy and happiness. There’s going to be complications and heartbreak and trouble. A lot of things are going to stand in the way of these people’s happiness, and I just hope they’re able to not only survive it but endure together.”
Hayley also has to consider her daughter Hope’s (Summer Fontana) feelings on her romance with her uncle. Speaking of Hope, the Mikaelsons, including Elijah and Hayley, are now busy protecting Hope against the season’s main villain. Episode 4 ended on an eerie and shocking note in which she saw Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) eyes turn blue -- the same color as the mysterious orb in New Orleans.
Worse still, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) also saw the blue orb. It seems that the new villain, ominously called The Hollow, has Klaus and Marcel in its clutches.
“The Originals” airs Fridays at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
