“Outlander” is on tonight, but it isn’t a new episode. Starz is apparently keeping audiences waiting in anticipation for Jamie and Claire’s big reunion.

The network hasn’t replaced “Outlander” with another program on Oct. 15. Instead, they’re giving viewers a chance to catch up. At 5 p.m. EDT, “Outlander” Season 3, episode 1 will air, kicking off a marathon of all the Season 3 episodes so far. The repeats will finish up at 10 p.m. EDT with the conclusion of episode 5, which included a cliffhanger that fans had been waiting for.

After being separated for 20 years, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) finally found her way back to Jamie (Sam Heughan). It was difficult to leave her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) in the 60s, not knowing if she’d ever return. However, Claire had to go back to her true love. She made a period-appropriate dress and headed back to the 18th century. She quickly found Jamie’s print shop in Edinburgh.

Episode 5 actually showed a little bit of Jamie and Claire’s reunion. When Jamie turned around and saw his wife standing above him, he promptly passed out. When episode 6 finally airs next week, “Outlander” will show the sexier parts of their reunion. This newly released photo makes it look like Jamie and Claire will be making up for lost time right away.

The trailer also makes it clear that Jamie and Claire’s passion hasn’t gone anywhere. Though they start off with a nice candlelight dinner, they quickly move to taking each other’s clothes off.

Did you see that mention of an “unforgettable extended episode” in the promo video? Starz isn’t kidding. Instead of the usual hour-long episode, this installment will be 74-minutes long. Executive producer Matthew B. Roberts teased that they didn’t want to cut the reunion short.

“We wanted to let this episode breathe, to be special,” Roberts told Entertainment Weekly. “And we also felt it was important they reconnect. Look at all that has happened to our characters in the first five episodes. It’s been an emotional battle. We needed them to get back together and take a really deep breath, find out a little bit about each other again before we throw ’em back into the rush of what’s coming in the second half. A little bit of extra episode doesn’t hurt.”

Jamie and Claire’s story won’t end with their reunion. After all, we’re only halfway through the season. The two will find their family in trouble again, and they’ll have to head to the Caribbean to fix their latest problem.

While fans have to wait an extra week for the new episode, that will give them enough time to get their “Outlander” wine. Lot18 released a new batch of limited edition wines last week, and the bottles are all named after Jamie and Claire’s various nicknames such as La Dame Blanche and Red Jamie.

“Outlander” Season 3, episode 6 airs Sunday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on Starz.
