‘Outlander’ Season 1 Spoilers: 8 Things To Know About The 2015 Episodes
The 2015 episodes of “Outlander” are going to have more of everything fans love. The midseason premiere will pick up right where the first half of Season 1 left off with Jamie (Sam Heughan) rushing to save Claire (Caitriona Balfe) from Capt. Randall (Tobias Menzies). However, if you can’t wait for the new episodes (or you don’t have time to read Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling books), check out the latest spoilers:
1. Nudity -- We already saw one sex scene from the new season, but that’s just the beginning of the steamy moments. The cast revealed at PaleyFest that there would be a skinny-dipping scene in one of the new episodes, Entertainment Weekly reports.
2. Troubled marriage -- “They begin to know more about each other and ultimately their relationship is quite strongly tested,” Heughan explained in a sneak peek. Another clip shows Jamie very angry with Claire after he rescues her from Capt. Randall, and she even claims that she doesn’t like being married to him.
3. Jamie’s point of view -- Though the show has mostly been from Claire’s perspective, audiences will see more of Jamie’s side in the second half of “Outlander” Season 1. Fans already got a glimpse of Jamie’s point of view in the preview clip that showed the first minute of the premiere.
4. Witchcraft -- It looks like Claire’s friendship with Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) will put her in danger. Both girls will be on trial for witchcraft this season, according to the episode 11 synopsis.
5. Laoghaire -- When Jamie returns to Castle Leoch, he’ll find some people won’t be celebrating his new marriage. Laoghaire (Nell Hudson) had what seemed like an innocent crush on Jamie last year, and she’ll be angry to learn that Claire stole her man, according to TV Line.
6. Capt. Black Jack Randall -- The redcoat will continue to be a problem for Jamie and Claire. “Jamie’s been someone who has intrigued Jack,” Menzies recently dished. “He was unable to break him and still wants to get to the bottom.”
7. Duke of Sandringham -- Jamie will turn to the aristocracy for some help clearing himself of false murder charges. The Duke (Simon Callow) is “as opulent and flamboyant as they come in the 18th century. With a propensity for all things beautiful, the Duke rarely hears the word no,” "Access Hollywood" reports.
8. Family -- "Outlander" audiences will see more of Jamie's past. The highlander will return home to Lallybroch, where his sister Jenny (Laura Donnelly) resides. He hasn’t seen her in quite a while and now she is married and pregnant.
