‘Outlander’ Star Romann Berrux Welcomes New Fergus Actor; César Domboy Joins Season 3 Cast
Romann Berrux doesn’t have any hard feelings about being replaced. The actor played the kid version of Fergus in “Outlander” Season 2, but Season 3 will introduce the adult version. César Domboy will take over the role, and the two had a nice exchange on Twitter.
Domboy complimented Berrux’s performance on the Starz drama. Jamie and Claire actors Sam Heughand and Caitriona Balfe joked that Domboy had rather small shoes to fill since Berrux is petite. The new cast member said that though his shoes are small, he’s a great actor.
Berrux had nothing but praise for his “Outlander” experience. He said Domboy could look forward to a great cast and a very supportive audience.
It seems Domboy understands that he has some expectations to live up to. The 26-year-old has already promised his new followers on Instagram that he is putting in the necessary effort. “I can’t even explain how proud and excited I am about joining the #outlander family,” he wrote. “Thanks to the Outlander’s fans for all their greetings. I swear I’ll do my best to be worthy of this amazing show playing Fergus. And worthy of your support too.”
When the older actor takes over, Fergus will still be loyal to Jamie. He’ll get into some trouble that’ll have serious consequences. However, his future isn’t entirely dark. He’ll also find love in “Outlander” Season 3, as long as the TV show follows his storyline in the “Voyager” novel.
Audiences have been very welcoming to Domboy, but they can’t forget Berrux. Many “Outlander” viewers have been sending well wishes to the 15-year-old on Twitter.
Domboy isn’t the only new actor joining “Outlander” Season 3. He will join Lauren Lyle, who will play Laoghaire’s (Nell Hudson) daughter Marsali. David Berry has been cast as fan favorite character Lord John Grey. John Bell will play Jamie’s nephew, Ian Murray. Wil Johnson will portray Joe Abernathy, a classmate of Claire’s in 20th century medical school.
“Outlander” Season 3 premieres on Starz in 2017.
