People Magazine Awards 2014: Live Stream, Nominees, Performances And How To Vote In The First Ever Show
The first People Magazine Awards will kick off Dec. 18 live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The event promises to be a star-studded evening with celebrity-guest appearances, live performances and a chance for viewers to vote for their favorites to take home a prize.
Nick Cannon will host the two-hour event, airing live on NBC starting at 9 p.m. ET. Anyone who can get to a TV during that time can simply tune in and watch, and those who won’t be near a television can see the event streamed live on NBC’s website -- they'll just have to give their cable provider information before the site will allow them to watch. So if you’re planning to watch the show away from the comfort of your living room, keep that login information on hand.
According to People Magazine, the event will feature stars Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Sean Hayes, Karlie Kloss, John Krasinski, Lisa Kudrow, Elisabeth Moss, Ryan Phillippe, Jennifer Aniston, Jeff Bridges, Billy Eichner, Josh Gad, Josh Groban, Diane Guerrero, Ryan Guzman, Jon Hamm, Kevin Hart, Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Michael Keaton, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Messina, Chloë Grace Moretz, Hero of the Year Award recipient Nora Sandigo, and Kate Upton.
Those who watch can also expect live performances from 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5 and “The Voice” judges Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.
For those who want to get a little more interactive, voting is now live for the “Best People Magazine Cover of the Year” award. Fans can tweet their vote with the hashtag “#PEOPLEMagazineAwards!” Those interested can take a poll on People’s site to get an idea of the 2014 cover options. Other categories for awards include “Performance of the Year,” “Comedy Star,” “Sexiest Woman” and “Breakout Star."
