Pete Davidson is bringing fun and laughter into Kim Kardashian's life, a report says.
Dating rumors surrounding Davidson, 27, and Kardashian, 41, continue to heat up despite multiple outlets reporting that they are just friends. However, an insider has now told Us Weekly that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum's inner circle is supportive of a potential romance with the comedian.
"One of the first things Kim did was to get her family and friends’ advice, and they all encouraged her to go for it," the source close to the Skims founder said. "It’s been very obvious for a while now that she’s been missing some fun and laughter in her life, and of course Pete offers that in abundance."
Kardashian and Davidson were first spotted together in October when they joined her sister Kourtney Kardashian and the latter's fiancé Travis Barker for a group outing to Knott's Berry Farm before Halloween. The pair were photographed holding hands during a rollercoaster ride.
But while Kardashian is enjoying spending time with someone as "witty and laidback" as Davidson, her friends have also reminded her not to rush into a new relationship, according to the source.
"People are happy for Kim, but at the same time, they’re urging her not to get too carried away or ahead of herself," the insider added. "Pete has this heartbreaker reputation for a reason, and while his intentions might be honorable, there’s a slight fear that Kim could be setting herself up for a vulnerable situation."
Following their hand-holding moment in California, Kardashian and Davidson flew to New York City. The reality star attended WSJ Magazine's 11th annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art. Meanwhile, Davidson presumably returned to the Big Apple because "Saturday Night Live" rehearsals start Monday.
The pair soon fueled dating rumors when they had dinner together two nights in a row. Davidson prepared dinner for Kardashian at Campania's in his native Staten Island Tuesday.
They reunited again Wednesday at hotspot Zero Bond, an A-list private members' club in Manhattan. During their second dinner date, they arrived separately and were joined by a larger group at the table, including Simon Huck, his fiancé Phil Riportella and Jonathan "Foodgod" Cheban.
An unnamed source told Page Six that Kardashian and Davidson were "smiling and laughing a lot and seemed genuinely affectionate with each other" during the gathering. But the insider noted that despite this, there was no "Kravis-style PDA," referencing Kourtney and Barker's hot-and-heavy antics.
