Pink received intense backlash from Twitter users after calling President Donald Trump’s supporters an “insult to humanity.”

On Saturday (June 6), the “Just Like a Pill” singer took to social media to call out those who support the POTUS. In her own words, Pink called them an “insult to humanity.”

“People who love trump at this point are an insult to humanity, goodness and human rights,” she wrote.

“And there’s less and less of them every single day. I put what’s right in front of my career ANY DAY. I’ve done just fine. All that can wait. But it looks like you’re trying to win votes.”

The post did not sit well with Trump’s supporters. Many reacted with dismay especially those who look up to the artist. Others even attacked the performer.

“The puppet ‘Celebrities’ like Pink all saying the same things, all strings pulled at once by their masters,” @MrWizaOfficial wrote.

“Here goes yet another white liberal trying to pander to save their dying career. Black Americans see through this phony attempt, just like they saw through your phony R&B career which quickly shifted to adult rock once it flopped,” @ErrolWebber commented.

“I'm not an insult to humanity and I voted for Trump. I am kind and generous and a good friend. What is it called when you judge someone you dont know?” @SSpiess74 added.

“I’m an insult to humanity? Wow. I thought I was a good person who cares about humanity but clearly Pink is perfect has stereotyped me and now I am an insult to goodness and human rights. Well you’re right you put this before your career. This is the same as racism,” @amymel8 opined.

Another netizen said he respects Trump. He also likes Pink’s music and respects the artist. So, he urged Pink to “show some or at least don’t say anything.” Many also urged Pink to just stick to singing and keep herself away from politics.

Meanwhile, some still supported Pink because they understand where she’s coming from. One fan said the country needs more celebrities as vocal as Pink. Meanwhile, another reminded the singer to educate Trump’s followers instead of attacking them.
