Playboy Playmate Claire Sinclair: I Scratched Marston Hefner to Defend Myself
Playboy Playmate Claire Sinclair described the physical abuse she allegedly endured on Sunday at the hands of Marston Hefner, her 21-year-old boyfriend and son to boss Hugh Hefner.
The 2011 Playmate of the Year told E! that she and Marston got into an argument over something really silly. Then the argument kind of escalated until it became violent.
He was arrested in the afternoon and later released after posting a $20,000 bail, The Associated Press reported.
Apparently, the couple's relationship was already on the rocks.
Marston has been unstable throughout the whole course of our relationship, she told E!
She attributed his bad mood to a cocktail of prescription medicine and for not taking his anti-depressant medication religiously.
She also described exactly what he allegedly did to her.
Initially, he kicked me, she said. And I went backwards. I fell. Then he punched me and grabbed me up. I scratched him to defend myself.
She said she was shocked that their argument resulted in such an episode.
In the middle of our argument I don't expect things to break out and become violent, she said.
So how did the Playboy people respond?
No one's empathetic or concerned, she said. It's more like cover it up and protect an image.
She said that while she understands that the Playboy side may want to shield itself, she still believes there should be some kind of apology for what transpired.
The playmate, who has more than 53,000 followers on Twitter, took to her feed to address any questions about benefitting financially from Sunday's incident: I was offered money from several media outlets for photos & interviews. I have not and will not accept a cent regarding this case.
She also posted a photo of herself on the social media Web site -- which features a bruised right arm -- and wrote that the photo had been donated to TMZ to raise awareness on domestic abuse.
Everything had seemed fine with the couple just weeks before, at least from an outsider's perspective.
He tweeted the following in late January: Going to Bed Bath and Beyond tomorrow with @ClaireSinclair_. She swears that the 'Beyond' section has a massagey chair and video games.
