Players United: Overwatch Players Want Charity Skins To Help Australia Wildfire Victims

Overwatch players from all over the world are making their voices heard and are asking Blizzard to make charity skins to help those affected by the devastating effects of wildfires that razed Australia.

Reddit user WippitGuud was among the first to come up with the idea with a post over the weekend. The post, which was also shared by Dexerto, is asking Blizzard to come up with firefighter skins for Junkrat and Roadhog “to raise money for the Aussie wildfires.”

The idea was heartwarming that most users agreed to the concept. One said that Junkrat's ammo could be filled with water, while another pointed that a hose could replace Roadhog's hook.

One user also suggested water balloons as ammo, while the rest were stoked on the idea that they would be helping Australia rebuild itself.

This is not the first time the Overwatch community came together to raise money for a cause. In May 2018, Blizzard partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and came up with a Pink Mercy Skin as a limited edition skin for Mercy. The skin costs $15 and 100% of the proceeds went directly to the Foundation.

In October of last year, ex-Overwatch player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez also planned to host a “charity stream for a good cause.”

“I want to make a good difference and I hope this will be a good start,” said Sanchez on his Twitter account.

“DreamKazper” was kicked from the League and from his Boston Uprising team after sexual misconduct that allegedly involved minors, said Sorryow.
