‘Pokémon GO’ Egg & Incubator Screens, Gym Training Enhanced In New Updates For Android, iOS Apps
“Pokémon GO” for both Android and iOS is getting an update. The Pokémon GO team announced the good news on Monday as Niantic Labs slowly rolls out the updated version to international Trainers.
On the official Pokémon GO website, the team responsible for updating the very popular app wrote that the game is in the process of being updated to version 0.41.2 for Android devices and version 1.11.2 for iOS-running devices.
Listing what the new update brings, the team wrote Catch Bonus, Updated Gym Training, Egg & Incubator Screens, audio problem fixes, minor fixes and the decrease in the time it takes the evolution animation is completed.
The update for the Egg & Incubator Screens makes it easier for players to track the distance they have covered without having to close or reopen the screen showing the incubated eggs. The team noted that the screens will from now on periodically update without the need for the Trainer to launch them.
Pokémon Training has also been updated to balance in-game battles, according to Engadget. Embracing fairness during Poké Gym Training, Pokémon CP (Combat Points) are temporarily adjusted, so opposing pocket monsters are on the same battle level during a fight.
In addition, to increase the chances of winning against strong Pokémon like Dragonite and Snorlax, the latest update now allows Trainers to bring six Pokémon to the Gym battle.
The previously teased feature called Catch Bonus is also officially rolling out with the new “Pokémon GO” update. The bonus pertains to how Trainers can catch more powerful Pokémon of a certain type once they have accumulated a lot of models for catching the said type of Pokémon, according to Android Police.
“Pokémon Go” version 0.41.2 is now rolling out in the Android Play Store, while version 1.11.2 is available for download in the iOS App Store. There is also an APK available online for players who want to get their hands on the update as early as possible.
