‘Pokémon Sun And Moon’ Demo Not Showing Up At Milan Games Week 2016; Nintendo Skipping Paris Event Due To Different Plans
Nintendo has revealed that it is not attending Paris Games Week 2016 this October. Meanwhile, the demo version of “Pokémon Sun and Moon” is reportedly not appearing at Milan Games Week 2016.
On Thursday, Nintendo revealed to Jeux-Videos.com that it is not attending Paris Games Week, which is slated to run from Oct. 27 through Oct. 31. As per My Nintendo News, the Japanese video game company admitted that the event’s schedule did not fit in with its calendar of activities for this year.
Paris Games Week is the biggest video game event in France, and Nintendo usually attends the large event to showcase some of its products. Nintendo did not specify what its plans are for the inclusive dates, but it could be something more important than the Paris trade fare.
Despite planning to skip Paris Games Week, Nintendo intends to show up at Milan Games Week 2016 that is set to happen from Oct. 14 to 16. Unfortunately, it will not bring with it the highly anticipated demo version of “Pokémon Sun and Moon.”
According to Pokejungle.net, Nintendo of Italy has released a press statement, saying that its show at Milan Games Week — Italy’s yearly video game trade fare — will not feature “Pokémon Sun and Moon’s” 3DS demo version.
Although this obviously comes as a disappointment to fans, it is actually a good sign that Nintendo mentioned the demo version because this corroborates previous reports about the trial version that's being examined by the Korean Ratings Board ahead of its release.
MobiPicker infers the demo could be available to players prior Milan Games Week or early October, but it also says it’s hard to tell at this point. On the contrary, there are also sources claiming the demo version could go out within the first week of November prior the Nov. 18 release date of the games.
Nintendo Australia and New Zealand announced on Tuesday that “Pokémon Sun and Moon” producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori are going to answer questions about the upcoming games posted on its official Twitter account before Nov. 18. Hopefully, someone asked about the demo version’s release date, so players would once and for all know when it’s coming.
