Porn Star Riley Reid Reveals The Person She Misses Most: 'We've Always Been Close'

Porn star Riley Reid, who has been open about how her work affected her relationship with her family, recently gave fans another glimpse into her personal life.

On Sunday, Sept. 20, Reid took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her older sister, expressing her excitement over her “beautiful” sibling coming over to her home next week.

“This is my sister and she is the most beautiful girl,” the 29-year-old adult performer wrote. “She’s coming to visit me the end of this month and I can’t wait to see her again! She’s only 14 months older and we’re really close, always have been.”

Reid, born Ashley Mathews, revealed that she moved out from her family home nearly a decade ago and that her sister was “the person [she misses] most.” The porn star added that she “can’t wait” to see her sister again and “spend every day with her.”

But while Reid seems to share a close bond with her older sibling, the same may not apply to the rest of her family. She previously opened up about how her career has caused a strain in her relationships with her loved ones and affected her daily life.

“You have to be okay with being shamed every day of your life. You're putting yourself out there and the world is now judging you,” Reid said on her YouTube channel back in February.

At the time, she admitted that she is not on speaking terms with her family anymore, though her mom was initially supportive of her career. Reid explained that after she became popular, she felt that her mother was only using her fame to “live a more luxurious lifestyle.”

“When I started to set like these boundaries, not giving her money or things like that, it made our relationship a bit more difficult and almost toxic. I really felt like she was just trying to take full advantage of me,” she said.

Despite this, Reid did try to mend their relationship, but her efforts were in vain and the porn star now feels that she “doesn’t have a mom anymore.” She also confessed to having a difficult relationship with her religious father.
