‘Power’ Season 6 Rumors: Why Fans Believe Tommy Didn’t Really Kill Holly
“Power” fans are still recovering from the shocking Season 5 finale, which teased the potential death of Angela Valdes at the hands of Tommy Egan. However, Joseph Sikora, who portrays the drug dealer, managed to stir up even more of a frenzy after he shared an Instagram photo that made fans question whether another character was back from the dead.
Viewers may recall the shocking scene during Season 3 when Tommy strangled his girlfriend, Holly (Lucy Walters), unaware she was pregnant with his child. After learning about the pregnancy, Tommy briefly spiraled out of control, before eventually moving on to Lakiesha (La La Anthony).
On Wednesday, Sikora posted a picture of himself with Walters and Stephen A. Smith on the set of “Power” Season 6. “Why does @stephenasmith look like he’s trying to get close to @jesuislucyt and away from me?! - can’t blame him. #hangnwithfriends #powerseason6 #hollyandtommy,” he captioned the photo.
Fans immediately began to wonder if Tommy really killed Holly and if the actress was on set to film scenes for the new season.
“Is Holly making an appearance in season 6. Did Tommy even really kill her? Mannnnnnn I have so many questions,” a confused fan wrote in the comment section.
A different person appeared to have a theory about Walters’ presence on set. “This is clearly a hint, something to do with her death is gonna be on the next season,” the individual suggested.
Meanwhile, one person was convinced Holly has been alive the whole time. “Plot twist holly faked her death,” the fan predicted.
In June, series creator Courtney Kemp admitted she has had a difficult time killing characters off the show in order to keep the story moving forward. During her interview with Vibe, she revealed she formed a special bond with Walters.
“There are more difficult characters than others. There are more difficult actors to lose. It was really hard for me to lose Lucy Walters. I really loved Lucy Walters who played Holly,” Kemp shared.
It remains unclear why Walters was on set, which means fans will just have to wait to find out whether the actress was simply visiting old friends or if Holly is making a comeback.
“Power” Season 6 is expected to premiere next year.
