President Donald Trump and Melania Trump are really in love with each other and they are also very “sweet to each other,” according to the First Lady’s hairdresser.
Many continue to question the POTUS and FLOTUS’ marriage. According to some critics, Melania is not happy with Trump. The hashtag “#FreeMelania” once trended on Twitter because of the speculation.
However, those who met the President and First Lady have different opinions. Contrary to claims questioning their marriage, the two are reportedly very sweet to each other.
Melania’s hairdresser, Lino Carbosiero, spoke about the first couple’s relationship. According to him, the various speculations questioning their marriage are rubbish.
“It’s rubbish what they say about the First Lady and the President [not being in love],” he told Kate Wills of the Evening Standard.
“I’ve seen them close up and they’re so sweet to each other and very close.”
Carbosiero also agreed with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mary Jordan that Melania has “balancing influence” on the POTUS. However, he didn’t agree with Jordan’s claim in her book “The Art of Hear Deal” that the FLOTUS ruthlessly hires and fires staff.
“Her team are treated so well,” Carbosiero said.
“I know because I’ve spoken to them, I’ve spoken to the Secret Service. I can’t talk politically, take that out of it, because I don’t want to get involved, but when it comes to manners and putting themselves out, [The Trumps] are amazing. I was in a room at the American ambassador’s house and the President was walking past, very fast, and the door was only open a small crack but he saw me sitting there and he stopped and came in and said hello.”
Sean Spicer, the president’s first communications director, also spoke about the first couple’s relationship in Jordan’s book. According to him, Trump listens to his wife most of the time.
“Melania is very behind-the-scenes but unbelievably influential. She is not one to go in and say, ‘Hire this person, fire this person.’ But she lets the president know what she thinks, and he takes her views very seriously,” Spicer said.
Moreover, whenever Melania is present during a discussion, she always get what she wants.
“The president would say, ‘She is right,’ and that was the end of the discussion,” he added.
