‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 7 Premiere: 5 Burning Questions Before The Final Episodes Air

The “Pretty Little Liars” summer finale left fans with several lingering questions ranging from the reveal of new information to a major character death. As Freeform’s premiere of the final season approaches, there are some things that we are hoping to get answers to.

1. Is Mary Drake really Spencer’s mother?

In the final moments of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 7, episode 10, after Spencer (Troian Bellisario) was shot by Jenna (Tammin Sursok), she laid bleeding in Mary Drake’s (Andrea Parker) arms when Mary revealed that she is Spencer’s mother. Could this be true? Her whole life Spencer grew up right across the street from the DiLaurentis home which means she could have grown up right next to her family. Jason (Drew Van Acker) is her half-brother, so the idea of her have close ties to the family isn’t that far-fetched.

2. Will Spencer get a happily ever after?

If Toby (Keegan Allen) fails to pull through after his car accident, who will Spencer end up with? Sure, she started to date Marco (Nicholas Gonzalez), but will he really be the love of her life? She already lost Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to Hanna (Ashley Benson) and it seems like Toby was the only one who has ever understood her. Finger crossed he lives and reunites with Spencer.

3. Who is “A”?

Obviously, this is a question we need an answer to, but this will be the last time we ever ask it. Showrunner Marlene King has hinted that the reveal of “A” will be a sad one. Could it be a Liar? Or maybe it is someone who is close to one of the Liars. There are so many theories about the identity of “A” that it will be a welcomed relief when the truth is finally revealed.

4. Will Toby live?

During an interview, Allen revealed that his character will appear in the final season of the show but may not be alive. “I can say that he might be in flashbacks. He might be, like, haunting his house. He might be haunting other people’s memories. He might be a ghost of himself,” the actor explained.

The actor also hinted that his character may have been meant to die all along. “Here’s a perfect example of this fate. [Toby] chose to pick up his life, and take the woman that he loved, and she trusted him, and he was driving... This is his fate. You never can leave Rosewood,” Keegan said.

5. Who will get married?

King previously teased that there will be a wedding in the final season and it can literally be anybody. Last season it was supposed to be Hanna but she ended her engagement and eventually got back together with Caleb. Could Haleb be in the rush to make it down the aisle?

In Season 7A, Ezra (Ian Harding) proposed to Aria (Lucy Hale) and she accepted. Although he later found out his ex-girlfriend is alive maybe he will still keep his word and marry Aria.

Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) could tie the knot. Emily has always had feelings for Ali and may want to marry her longtime crush or maybe Emily and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) are destined to walk down the aisle. Paige is Emily’s high school sweetheart and it is clear they still love each other. Will their love be enough to bring them back together for life?

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 7, episode 11 will premiere on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
