"Harry Potter" has been a household name ever since J.K. Rowling's vision was introduced in 1997's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Since then, fans have been collecting expensive versions of the books and taking college courses surrounding the magical universe. Now, one particular admirer of the wizarding world is facing an undesirable situation.

According to the Sun, Steven Wickenden, 47, built "a life-size replica" of the flying car that is seen in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." The custom Ford Anglia was reportedly stolen last week from Wickenden's garage in Walmer, Kent.

Additionally, the car had been signed by various "Harry Potter" cast members, including Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, and Julie Walters, who starred as Molly Weasley.

When speaking about the work that went into customizing it, Wickenden said that they had gone to great lengths in order to make it as close to the movie version as possible, including color-matching it, changing the interior, and adding a feature that allows you to "wave a wand at the headlights so they come on."

"It's the only one of its kind," Wickenden stated. He then elaborated on the extensive work put into the car. "The magic button on the dashboard was hand-sculpted. We had an owl sculpted in the back in a cage. We got an artist to sculpt it for us based on the pictures," he added.

Even though the car cost more than £15,000 ($19,427.33 U.S. dollars) to customize and was insured for £10,000 ($12,933.26 U.S. dollars), Wickenden stated that it remained "priceless" to him due to the fact that he built it for his 13-year-old daughter. "My daughter burst into tears when she heard," he said, recounting her reaction to the news.

Following the theft, neighbors stated that a local postman had seen a young man driving the car who allegedly asked for directions before leaving the area. At this time, an investigation surrounding the whereabouts of the car is ongoing.
