Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were spotted sharing the same ride ahead of their daughter Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding.
The Duke and Duchess of York’s eldest daughter will be walking down the aisle in May. Prior to the upcoming event, Princess Beatrice’s divorced parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were spotted sharing the same ride.
According to Daily Mail, Prince Andrew spent the day in Windsor with his ex-wife after the announcement of Princess Beatrice’s wedding date. He was photographed behind the wheel of his Range Rover while Ferguson was tucked in the passenger’s seat. The exes were spotted driving in Windsor Great Park.
Following the announcement, Prince Andrew has also been confirmed to attend Princess Beatrice’s wedding. There were rumors earlier that Princess Beatrice was “seriously considering” banning her father from her wedding because she doesn’t like any drama on her big day.
In the past months, Prince Andrew was plagued with controversies due to his connection with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Things got worse when the duke decided to speak out on the matter in a Newsnight interview.
All the things Prince Andrew said only backfired. Several were convinced that it would have been best if he didn’t speak at all. Some even slammed the royal father of two while others accused him of ruining Princess Beatrice’s wedding.
“I think #PrinceAndrew has ruined Princess Beatrice’s wedding,” one wrote on Twitter following the royal’s interview.
Meanwhile, Ferguson and Prince Andrew have maintained their friendship following their divorce. They have been spotted together in the past years, sparking rumors that they could be back together.
In fact, they were seen landing in Malaga in a private jet and sharing a ride when they visited their favorite Spanish hideaway, Sotogrande, last summer. Ferguson was forced to leave Queen Elizabeth II’s Balmoral Castle when Prince Philip arrived days earlier than his scheduled arrival. It happened amid the Epstein scandal Prince Andrew was facing and Ferguson wanted to be there for her ex-husband.
“She wants to be his shoulder to cry on. She wants to be there for him in his hour of need,” the source said. “She feels this is like the old days when they would take on the world together.”
Princess Beatrice will marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29 at St. James’s Palace in London. Queen Elizabeth II offered to have the wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.
