Kate Middleton ‘Walks Like A Man’ In ‘Awkward’ BAFTAs Entrance With William, Twitter Says

Kate Middleton has the posture of a man and walks like one, according to Twitter users.

Last Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out to attend the 73rd British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs). Prince William showed up in a black suit while Middleton was stunning in a recycled outfit.

The royals joined the Hollywood’s acting elite which included Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson. However, the royal couple experienced an awkward entrance when they made their way to the venue.

In a clip shared on Instagram, the announcer could be heard introducing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The audience stood up, with some clapping and shouting in glee. Others simply stood up and crossed their hands. However, when the future king and queen entered the room, there was silence. No one cheered for them as music played in the background, Yahoo! Lifestyle reported.

The publication described it “pretty cringeworthy” but was nothing compared to their entrance at the same event last year when Prince William and Middleton walked into a “completely silent room.”

“It’s so quiet,” Middleton told the woman sitting behind her.

“Let’s sit quickly. It’s a quiet room,” Prince William told his wife.

Meanwhile, aside from the awkward entrance, many also commented on Middleton’s gait. One netizen took to Twitter and said that the duchess walked like a man.

“Kate walks like a man ... They would have thrown Meghan under the bus. They still look like old folks,” @gayleLackey11 commented.

Meanwhile, several also defended Middleton. According to @lesleywatt170, Middleton has the class and ease of style. The duchess also has a husband who loves her “unlike the one who ran away,” implying about the Duchess of Sussex, who recently stepped down from her royal role.

In related news, some Twitter users claimed that Markle looks 10 years younger than Middleton. Another added that the Duchess of Cambridge is “aging faster.”
