Prince Charles recently revealed his bonding moment with his eldest grandson Prince George.

During his recent interview on BBC’s “Gardeners World” program, the future king said that his love for gardening happened when he was still a young boy. Years ago, he and Princess Anne would spend a lot of time outdoors with the Queen Mother.

Now, Prince Charles sees to it that he spends a lot of time with Prince George and Prince Charlotte. “The most important thing is I got him planting a tree or two,” he said (via Express).

During the same interview, Prince Charles was asked to give an advice to his fellow gardeners. “Talk to the nurseries where you are getting your plants and ask them, ‘Where do they come from, have they been properly checked or quarantined? Have you got a bio-security policy? We have to take this very seriously. With climate change and the warming up of everything, more and more of these pests and diseases can flourish here, where they couldn’t have before,” he said.

While speaking with Adam Frost, Prince Charles also gushed over his gardens and organic farming. He has proudly transformed Highgrove into one of the most innovative gardens in the United Kingdom.

In related news, Prince Charles also talked about his grandchildren during an interview. Just recently, he was presented with an oriental beech sapling to include to his collection, and he said that his grandkids should not see it.

“I mustn't let my grandchildren get hold of this,” he joked (via Express).

During his visit to the Kew Gardens, the doting granddad admitted to having his hands full whenever he is with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince Charles has yet to bond and play with Prince Louis since he is just two months old.
