Prince Charles is reportedly wholly unfit to be the next king of Britain.

The heir to the throne is being criticized in the Republic campaign, “The Man Who Shouldn’t Be King.” A trailer, which was released on YouTube, features a number of people who are convinced that the Prince of Wales shouldn’t ascend the throne.

“He’s going to be a King in a hurry and he’s made it clear he will go on making what he calls interventions, what I call interference,” one of the interviewees said.

Another person said that the public is expected to respect Prince Charles especially when he succeeds Queen Elizabeth. However, it’s hard to respect people that the public doesn’t trust.

“If the Queen dies tomorrow, King Charles is on the throne in an instance and none of us gets a say in that,” another Prince Charles critic said.

Meanwhile, some supporters of Prince William have been lobbying for the second in line to the throne to become king after the Queen’s passing. But according to Reader’s Digest, this is unlikely to happen.

The 1701 Act of Settlement requires that a monarch’s heir but be a direct successor and a protestant. Prince William isn’t the direct heir of his grandmother, but he is the direct heir of Prince Charles.

In related news, there are reports suggesting that the Queen will use the Regency Act to keep Prince Charles away from the crown. Charlie Proctor, the editor of Royal Central, told Daily Star that the Queen will most likely continue her royal duties past the age of 95.

At present, even though the monarch has shown signs of slowing down, she has not shown signs of wanting to retire. As such, if the Queen has no plans to abdicate, Prince Charles will not become regent. Proctor said that Prince Charles is certainly on the world’s longest apprenticeship.
