Prince Harry, Meghan Markle ‘Avoided Relationship Disaster’ For This Unique Reason
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle managed to avoid what would have been a relationship disaster for a very poignant reason.
Andrew Morton, the author of “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,” said that the royal couple’s relationship managed to work all because of timing.
“Sometimes, timing is everything. If Meghan had met the man standing before her, casually dressed, hand outstretched in greeting a couple of years earlier she would have likely smiled, made friendly small talk and moved on. Prince Harry would not have impressed – except as an anecdote to tell her friends. Meghan would have found the early Harry hard work, something of a lost soul,” Morton told Express.
When Prince Harry was much younger, he lived a very troubled life. He was known for partying extensively, for stripping his clothes off at private gatherings, and for wearing a Nazi costume at a party in 2005.
“Looking back, Harry would be first to admit that, during his twenties, his life had descended into ‘total chaos’; the prince struggling to process the black cloud of grief that has enveloped his life since the moment he had been awakened from his bed in Balmoral in the summer of 1997 and told that his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, had died in a car accident. Without a mom, without a steadying, nurturing influence in his life, Harry had gone off the rails,” Morton said.
But by the time the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met, Prince Harry was already in his 30s and was ready to settle down.
“Meghan was meeting a very different Harry from the young man who made a profession of falling out of bars. Meghan was meeting a grown-up, a man with focus and resolve, a sense of who he was and what he could achieve,” Morton concluded.
Last year, Prince Harry acknowledged the fact that he met Markle at the right time and immediately fell in love with her. He also said that the stars were aligned that time and everything was just perfect.
