Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Leading Wedding Planning; Barack Obama's Invite Uncertain?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very much involved with the planning of their royal wedding.

A spokesman told People that Prince Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, are "leading the planning process for all aspects" when it comes to their royal wedding. The newly engaged couple wants it to have their own touch.

According to Penny Junor, Prince Harry's biographer, Markle's union with the royal prince is relevant and important to the society. In Britain where racism is still an issue, Prince Harry and Markle's wedding will bring positivity to the monarchy.

"We are a very much multi-cultural, multi-colored, multi-faith society these days," Junor said. "Lots of people in Britain were born in other countries and having a royal family reflect that is very helpful. The fact that she is mixed race, a divorcée, a career woman and not a member of the British aristocracy is all very positive for the future of the monarchy, and for it to be seen to be relevant to society today."

Meanwhile, many are wondering if Barack Obama will attend Prince Harry and Markle's wedding. The two gentlemen share a good relationship over the years.

However, when Prince Harry was asked about Obama's attendance at his wedding, he gave a coy response. According to Markle's fiancé, the guest list is not done yet.

"I don't know about that, we haven't even put the invite or the guest list together, who knows if he's going to be invited or not," Prince Harry told BBC Radio (via Fox News). "I wouldn't want to ruin that surprise."

Just recently, Prince Harry and Obama had fun together when the former interviewed the latter. The former U.S. president even joked and asked the groom to be if he needed to speak with a British accent. Prince Harry said it was not necessary, but threatened Obama with a serious look if he used long pauses.

Back in September, Prince Harry and Obama were photographed sitting side by side and chatting while they watched a wheelchair basketball game during the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto. They had a great conversation because they were seen smiling and grinning while talking.
