Prince Harry will return to the royal family with or without his wife Meghan Markle, a royal expert claims.
In January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Following their bombshell announcement, Prince Harry and Markle moved to Canada with their child, Archie. However, according to royal photographer Arthur Edwards, Prince William’s brother will eventually return to the royal family. He also accused the duchess of “acting.”
“She is an actress and for the first year I thought she was wonderful. [I] thought she was a great ambassador for the country. I now realise it was acting. She turned Harry intro this dour, awful sad man,” Edwards said while talking to Dan Wootton on talkRADIO.
Wootton asked Edwards again to confirm if he thought she was just acting and he said that for him, the duchess was “playing a very good part.” He also added that Prince Harry’s wife has lost the love of the British public and she has to work hard to earn it back.
Edwards continued saying that Markle likes to return to the U.S. because if a producer would put her in a film, the tickets would sell because the people would want to see it. However, for him, Prince Harry would one day find himself returning back to the royals.
“I personally think that he will come back and whether she comes or not, I don’t know. He will miss it so much. He’ll miss his own family and he’ll miss this country,” the veteran photographer said.
Meanwhile, novelist Dame Hilary Mantel said that Markle was too good for the royal's “dull” institution. She added that she was pleased that Prince Harry and Markle’s marriage survived and that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still together because many thought that if Markle would leave the royal family, she would be on her own without her husband and child.
“I’m pleased that it’s the marriage that’s surviving and the connection with the monarchy that has to go, because I think almost all of us would have bet that if she left, she’d have to leave alone,” Mantel told Harper’s Bazaar.
