Prince Harry ‘Won’t Miss’ Royal Family After Addressing Rift With Prince William
Although Prince Harry delivered a heartfelt speech following the announcement that he and Meghan Markle would no longer use their HRH titles, some believe the Duke of Sussex will be happier with his new life in Canada.
On Jan. 8, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their plans to “step back” from their roles as senior royals. In 2020, the couple is expected to split their time between the UK and North America.
Although Meghan and Prince Harry are starting the next chapter of their lives in Canada, Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, believes the 35-year-old won’t miss his family in the UK.
“I doubt he’ll miss being a royal. Yes, he was born a prince, but his long-term ambition is to be known as a humanitarian, like his mother,” Burrell told Us Weekly.
A source recently told the publication that Meghan and Harry’s exit from the royal family will allow the couple to be truly happy. “Harry’s been unhappy in the royal family for years,” the insider revealed.
Although Queen Elizabeth released a statement detailing Meghan and Prince Harry’s future, a source told The Sun that the Duke of Sussex reached out to Prince William to address the rift in their relationship.
“William and Harry have spent time together privately away from the official Sandringham Summit working on their relationship and discussing their future. It has been ground-breaking in terms of saving their bond as brothers and has been totally driven by them,” the insider revealed.
“It’s fair to say that the past week has brought William and Harry back together, but the relationship with Charles and Camilla is far more complicated and complex. There remains a real lack of trust there, and it’s going to take some time to resolve.”
For now, Meghan and Prince Harry are focused on the next chapter of their lives with baby Archie.
