Prince Harry’s Ex-Girlfriend Chelsy Davy Gave Him Unique Nickname Based On Eye-Catching Trait

Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, reportedly gave the Duke of Sussex an affectionate and unique nickname based on one of his standout traits.

During their relationship, Davy adorably called Prince Harry “big ginger.” According to royal expert Vicky Ward, Meghan Markle’s husband gets ribbed about the fact that he’s ginger the most.

Prince Harry and Davy dated for years before eventually calling it quits. Following their split, the former couple stayed friends. In fact, Davy attended Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding two years ago.

Prior to the nuptials, a source told royal author Katie Nicholl that Prince Harry and Davy had a final parting call where they both acknowledged the fact that they have moved on from each other.

“Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding. In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party. Though reports claimed Davy was there, a family friend told Vanity Fair that she didn’t get an invite to the party,” the source said.

Earlier this month, Nicholl revealed how serious Prince Harry and Davy were when they were still dating. In fact, the Duke of Sussex was given keys to his then girlfriend’s $1.96 million apartment in London.

“Harry would stay at Chelsy’s every weekend, and his protection officers moved in as well. The apartment has three double bedrooms. Chelsy and Harry share the master room and the two spare rooms are always made up in case her family comes over to stay,” a source said.

Prince Harry also helped Davy design her London home. And the property served as the usual venue for the couple’s parties with their friends. Markle’s husband enjoyed staying with Davy so much that he preferred to live there than at Prince Charles and Camilla’s home.

Unfortunately, the former couple’s relationship was short-lived. They eventually split after Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding when Davy realized that royal life is not for her.
