Prince William Has ‘Harry Potter Scar’ From A Freak Accident, Biographer Claims
Prince William reportedly has a scar similar to Harry Potter.
Katie Nicholl claimed in her 2010 book “William and Harry,” which takes a look back at the two princes lives when they were young, that the Duke of Cambridge was “injured in a freak playground accident in June 1991.” Prince William was only 10 years old when it happened, and the scar was evident even as he grew up, as shown in this photo.
“William had been playing a friend on the school’s putting green when he was accidentally struck on the head with a golf club,” Nicholl wrote.
Following the accident, Prince William was reportedly rushed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. Later on, he was transferred to Great Ormond Street so that a brain specialist could check on him.
“Today he still bears a reminder of the accident which he calls his Harry Potter scar," Nicholl added.
The royal biographer added that Prince Charles was criticized following the accident because he sped off to the Royal Opera House for an official engagement after learning that Prince William’s operation went well. However, the Prince of Wales was with Prince Diana at the hospital prior to attending his royal duties.
Prince William made a speedy recovery. The Duke of Cambridge was back at school within days with his scar on the forehead.
Prince William’s parents had a rocky marriage. He witnessed how Prince Charles and Princess Diana bicker and argue, and how it always ended with the Prince of Wales in tears. One time, Prince William couldn’t take it anymore, so he yelled at his dad “I hate you.” He was furious at Prince Charles for always making his mom cry.
When the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to end their marriage in divorce, Prince Harry had a hard time accepting it. However, Prince William who saw how his mom cried over his dad several times gave a more mature response. He reportedly told Princess Diana that it was okay for him if it would make her mom happy.
Following Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s divorce, the People’s Princess was ripped of her royal title. However, Prince William comforted his mother and promised her that it was okay because he would return the title to her one day when he becomes the new king.
