Prince William joked about Queen Elizabeth II’s residence by calling it a “dodgy area.”

On Thursday, the Duke of Cambridge visited Liverpool to see how the sport plays a significant role in the people’s lives in the community. During the visit, Prince William chatted with a former guardsman in Liverpool who told him how he joined the national service in the 1950s and how it was being on sentry duty at the palace gates.

“I hadn’t been down that neck of the woods before. Well, there were these steps and I was told to allow anyone out…but not to let people in,” Kenny Davis, 82, told the future king, People reported.

“It is a dodgy area,” Prince William quipped while he spoke at an elder support group hosted by Everton Football Club’s community.

“The Coldstreams are going strong. You left them in a good state,” Prince William told Davis.

Prince William also met some of the older residents of the area around the Premier League soccer club. He handed an old-fashioned rattle that fans could use to make a racket at matches which had the same claret color as Prince William’s favorite team, Aston Villa.

Kate Middleton’s husband also joined the children from the Springwell Park Primary school as they played “emoji bingo” – a game that uses emoji to help kids identify their emotions. The royal father of three even pointed to a happy emoji and told a little girl that it was similar to her “smiley face.”

“How do you guys feel most of the time? Do you get anxious?” Prince William asked. One little girl said she felt tired and Prince George’s dad said, “Yes, me too.”

According to an insider, Prince William and Middleton’s responsibilities have doubled following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit. The Duchess of Cambridge has been taking various engagement lately and a source said she was having bouts of anxiety and was in panic mode.

In related news, royal fans slammed Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney for her post on Instagram which they deemed as a dig to the Duchess of Cambridge after she wrote that pretty pictures will remain pretty pictures so one should strive to spread stories of incredible people striving to make the world a better place.

“Dear Jessica. Kate is everything you can never be. Pretty being just one of them but petty and mean spirited are two things that she very definitely isn’t! She’s positively perfect so you can pass the message on to your friend that she can suck it up!!” one wrote on Twitter.
