Prince William, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Body Language Changed For This Reason
Prince William and Meghan Markle were previously rumored to have ignored each other on Christmas Day. However, a body language expert said that this wasn’t exactly the case.
Judi James told Express that Prince William did not ignore the Duchess of Sussex during last month’s outing. However, it seemed as though the Duke of Cambridge wasn’t keen to include Markle in the conversation.
James added that Prince William could have performed some jolly PDAs with Markle, but just like the other senior royals, maybe this wasn’t really his style.
The expert also talked about Prince Harry’s body language and said that the Duke of Sussex looked awkward in terms of his pose during their Christmas Day walk to St. Mary Magdalene church.
“Harry adopts a rather awkward pose with his hand ‘clipping’ his jacket and a frowning facial expression, suggesting he could be the one suffering the highest levels of anxiety over all the ‘rift rumors,’” she said.
James added that the lack of tie-signs and non-verbal connections weren’t only between Prince William and Markle but also Prince Harry. The latter’s body language, in particular, has also changed every time he is out in public with his wife.
The expert said that when Prince William and Prince Harry were still appearing as a double act, it was easy to see visible signs of their shared humor and fun. But in their role as husbands to their wives, things have changed.
“Harry’s body language does seem to have morphed into something more serious and even – at times – dourer and while William looks keen to wear a social smile in all these group photos, he’s clearly not so enthusiastic to perform the more active displays of friendship and connection with either Meghan or Harry that might hint at empathetic bonds behind the scenes,” she said.
Meanwhile, James also said that Markle might not have even looked at Prince William in the first place. But in the video, it only seemed as though she did because of the angle the scene was taken.
