Prince William was subjected to harsh memes due to the rumors that he cheated on Kate Middleton.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary. However, some netizens aren’t over with his infidelity rumors.

One netizen shared an unflattering photo of Prince William along with a gorgeous shot of Middleton on Twitter.

“This whole scandal of Prince William cheating on Kate just proves once again that no one should blame themselves or think less of themselves because they got cheated on,” the user wrote before adding that no matter how pretty a woman is and how the man looks like if he wants to cheat, he will. Many find Middleton prettier compared to Rose Hanbury who was romantically linked to the second-in-line to the throne.

The said post sparked several reactions from other Twitter users. A number shared hilarious memes by comparing Prince William to a number of characters. However, some others are already offensive.

One compared Prince William to a donkey due to his two front teeth writing “Lol same vibe.” Another said that he should not disrespect the donkey in that way. A different user said that a donkey is faithful.

A different user compared Prince William’s photo to a fish with teeth. A different user said that doing so was an “insult to the poor fish.”

Another user said that what Prince William did was a “disrespect.” The same user added that the Duke of Cambridge didn’t just inherit Prince Charles’ receding hairline but his wandering eyes, too.

However, fans should take note that the alleged cheating was just all rumors. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in great spirits when they were last seen on Easter Sunday. They also appeared happy on their recent outing with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the Tindalls.

The royals have already taken legal actions about it and at least one publication reportedly received a warning for publishing details of the rumored affair which were “false and highly damaging.”

An insider said that Prince William and Middleton are not splitting. Middleton confronted her husband about the rumors and he just laughed it off because it was not true. However, it really affected them. In fact, it actually rocked the palace and his marriage with the Duchess of Cambridge.

According to royal correspondent Omid Scobie, Prince William and Middleton will likely celebrate their wedding anniversary with their family. In the past years, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have spent this occasion with their children, so it will be a family celebration.
