Prince William Will Probably Come Out As The Worst In Prince Harry's Book, Royal Biographer Says
KEY POINTS
- Prince William will probably come out as the worst in Prince Harry's book because they are feuding
- If Prince Harry were to disclose inappropriate things about the monarchy, Prince William's future could be affected
- It will be hurtful for Prince Charles if Prince Harry will include in the memoir that he hasn't been a great father
Prince William's path to the throne might be affected by Prince Harry's revelations in his upcoming memoir, according to a royal expert and a royal photographer.
The Duke of Sussex announced last week that he is working on his "wholly truthful" memoir. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward, author of "William & Harry," shared her thoughts on the possibility of Prince Harry's book damaging the crown's reputation when it is eventually inherited by his older brother.
"William is probably the one that will come out of this worst of all because there is a row between William and Harry and basically if Harry says things that are inappropriate about the monarchy, that is William’s future," the editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine told GB News. "It’s not Harry’s future, he is out of it now, but it is William’s future."
Royal photographer Kent Gavin shared the same sentiment. He warned that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are the ones with so much to lose in Prince Harry's book because they are next in line after Prince Charles.
"The royal family is in good hands with Kate and William… with them at least," Gavin told SheKnows. "I hope the institution will see it through over the next 100 years, the way things are changing so rapidly in all our lives, you just don’t know."
He continued, "With Megan and Harry, I think time will heal that rift and they will get back. I hope so, but there’s a big problem now, of course, about these books that Harry is threatening to write, so we’ll have to see what comes out of that… it depends, as I say, how much more of this is going to come out. And also at the moment, he’s still got the support of the British public."
Meanwhile, Seward also pointed out Prince Charles' reaction to Prince Harry's announcement. The Prince of Wales has remained quiet following his youngest son's book announcement and is probably hurting with what the Duke of Sussex has been doing or would probably share about him in his memoir.
"Of course, everyone forgets poor old Prince Charles, who has remained very very quiet about all of this," Seward said. "It is his son and how hurtful can it be for him to hear Harry say that his father hasn’t been a great father - which is more or less some of the things he has already said."
The royal family is reportedly shaken up after learning about Prince Harry's book, an unnamed source told Us Weekly. Both Prince Charles and Prince William are "particularly concerned about what Prince Harry will reveal" especially after the recent streak of criticisms against him that were "bad enough."
