Prince William's Ex-Girlfriends Who Could Have Been The Next Queen In Photos

Prince William dated three women before he ended up with Kate Middleton.

Martin Coulter, a journalist of Daily Star, named the three women in the Duke of Cambridge's life who could have been the next queen if their relationship with Prince William only worked. The publication also shared a snap of each.

Prince William first dated Jecca Craig back in 2000 while taking a gap year in Kenya. She's raised in Kenya and attended a posh boarding school. Craig is an environmentalist activist who founded two charities - Panthera (for cats) and Stop Ivory.

Craig married Jonathan Baillie in 2016. Prince William has remained amicable with her and her family. In fact, the duke missed Middleton and the Queen's first meeting at Peter Philips' nuptials because he attended the wedding of Craig's brother.

"Prince William is going to be out of the country this weekend on a long-standing prior engagement," the insider told the Telegraph. "It is an unfortunate clash but he spoke to his cousin Peter and he is fine with the situation. [Middleton] will be going in his absence."

The Duke of Cambridge's second girlfriend was Isabella Calthorpe. She's working as an actress when they first met. Calthorpe appeared on TV dramas like "Inspector Lynley Mysteries" and "The Prisoner."

Calthorpe is now married to Richard Branson's son, Sam. They tied the knot in 2013. She's now a mom to two adorable kids, Eva-Deia and Bluey.

Prior to meeting Middleton, Prince William's first uni girlfriend was Olivia Hunt. The blonde beauty is a central member of British high society and is regularly pictured at venues such as private member's club Annabel's and the Guards Polo Club.

Hunt is married to Nicolas Wilkinson, dubbed as Britains' hottest barrister. She remains on good terms with Prince William and Middleton.

On the other hand, Middleton reportedly dated Henry Ropner during her short split from Prince William. They were even photographed together. According to an insider "there's been a lot of flirting" and "now she's single, Kate is enjoying Henry's company regularly." The Duke of Cambridge was reportedly jealous and also dated Ropner's ex after they had broken up.

Apparently, Prince William and Middleton got back together. They exchanged "I do's" in April 2011 and are now parents to three royal babies, 5-year-old Prince George, 3-year-old Princess Charlotte and 5-month-old Prince Louis.
